General Terms and Conditions:

All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the rental agreement (RA)

Driver’s Qualification:

Driver must be 25 years old and above and in possession of a valid Yemeni license or international driving license or driving license from country of origin.

Rates:

Include unlimited mileage, comprehensive vehicle insurance, LDW, maintenance and oil changes. One day rental is calculated as 24 hours. Each additional hour over the 24 hours period will be calculated at one SIXTH of the daily rate. Optional services, such as, LDW etc.

will be charged at the full rate for the additional hour if the rental exceeds the 24 hours period

Insurance:

All Hertz rented vehicles are comprehensively insured. Third party liability is included in the rental rate (to the vehicle damage upto YER. 2,500,000 and bodily injuries and death upto YER. 560,000.) Coverage is subject to the laws of the Republic of Yemen and coverage is valid in Yemen only. However, US$ 100 is payable by the renter in all circumstances regardless of the size of accident and US$ 2000 for group a – F vehicles and US$ 4000 for group g – h vehicles in case of total loss and theft of Hertz vehicles.

The complete insurance policy terms and conditions should be signed by the renter at the time of rental.

Accidents:

In the event of an accident to the vehicle whilst being driven, or damage that has taken place whilst the vehicle has been parked, the police must be called before the vehicle is moved and a police report MUST BE obtained together with the police repair slip.

If these papers are not obtained from the police by the renter, then the customer will be responsible for reimbursing Hertz the cost of repairs as the Insurance Co. will refuse any claim.

Chauffeur Drives:

We can also provide chauffeur drive service with experienced drivers who will be charged at US$ 25per day of 8 hours for Group A – E vehicles and US$ 40 per day of 8 hours for Group F – H (this rate includes driver gratuity & meals). Additional charge of US$ 15 will be made for overnight stays away from Sana’a and Aden city limits. Extra working hours will be charged at US$ 5.00 per hour.

Delivery & Collection:

Rental or replacement vehicle can be collected or will be delivered during normal office hours within city limits. If delivery of the vehicle is required outside city limits, then the Hertz reserves the right to make delivery charges up to a maximum of US$ 300, depending upon time and distance. Hertz also operates a 24 hours location in the arrival hall of Sana’a International Airport, Yemen.

Rent It Here / Leave It There (RIH/LIT)

Such services are currently available between the cities of Sana’a and Aden only. If the rental period exceeds seven days, there will not be any drop-off charges, else US$ 50 to be paid in addition to the rental charges.
